AD or LDAP Connector Error "Network Error: Unable to Get Local Issuer Certificate"

Overview
This article explains a potential cause of the following error when setting up a Ticket URL for a new LDAP Connection using the adldap-6.1.8.exe agent.
Network error: unable to get local issuer certificate

Cause
This error may be caused by a local proxy changing the Certificate Authority (CA) certificates used in responses to requests the LDAP Connector makes, like when behind a corporate proxy. It may also indicate that the machine does not have Auth0 Trusted CA root certificates.
Solution
Attempt to establish a connection to Auth0 from the machine on which the connector is installed and validate the certificates. For example, visit https://login.auth0.com/test and review the certificates to ensure the machine trusts the CAs.
