Error Message Displayed When Using IdP-Initiated Login With ADFS Connection

Overview
An error occurs when testing logins with a new Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) connection. The following error message is displayed:

Cause
The ADFS connection type does not support IdP-Initiated flows.
Solution

Create a generic Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) connection and configure the ADFS server to point to it by following the instructions in Configure ADFS as SAML Identity Provider.

Enable IdP-Initiated login for the new SAML connection by following the instructions in Set up IdP-initiated SSO.
