Overview

When sending passwordless email OTP, the following error happens:

Error sending email: Message failed: 451 Could not process message.

 

Applies To

  • Custom Email Provider
  • Passwordless email OTP connection
  • SMTP email provider

Cause

This error occurs when the SMTP email provider experiences too much traffic in a given time interval.

Solution

Open a support ticket with the SMTP email provider for further investigation.
