Overview
TIMELINE UPDATE: Originally set for July 2025, the IP changes were moved to September 2025, then January 2026. Each environment will have two test periods, each up to 1 hour, before permanent IP changes to help identify systems that need updates.
 
The schedule follows:
  • JP-1 environment:
    • January 13, 2026, at 19:00 UTC - Test 1 out of 2.
    • January 21, 2026, at 01:00 UTC - Test 2 out of 2.
    • January 27, 2026, at 13:20 UTC - IP changes are effective permanently.
  • AU-1 environment:
    • March 5, 2026, at 09:00 UTC - Test 1 out of 2.
    • March 18, 2026, at 05:58 UTC - Test 2 out of 2.
    • TBD - IP changes are effective permanently.
  • EU-1 environment:

In March 2024, Auth0 shared a changelog update related to public cloud IP addresses, and email notifications have been sent for tenants in applicable public cloud regions at various times since then.

The changelog update included IP addresses that would become active at a future date. As part of a 2026 service update, those reserved IP addresses will become eligible for use in outbound network requests for the first time.

Integrations configured in US, EU, AU, and JP public cloud tenants, requiring network requests originating from the Auth0 service to external endpoints behind network firewalls, may experience partial degradation or complete failure if firewalls are not configured adequately with an up-to-date IP allow list.

The change in active use IP addresses may affect several features, including, but not limited to:

  • Actions
  • Legacy extensibility (rules and hooks)
  • Custom database connections
  • Custom social connections
  • Log streams
  • Email and phone providers

The nature of the impact may vary depending on the affected feature. For example, in a custom database connection with custom scripts performing requests to endpoints behind a firewall, user logins through the connection can fail completely or intermittently.

Solution

Update network firewall configurations to ensure they include the required IP addresses to allow traffic originating from an Auth0 tenant in the US, EU, AU, or JP public cloud regions.

More specifically, take the following actions:

  • Include all Auth0 IP addresses from the respective region list in the firewall configuration.
  • Remove any IP addresses that may be present in the firewall configuration but no longer appear in the respective region list.

Up-to-date Auth0 IP address lists are available at Auth0 IP Addresses for Allow Lists, including instructions on how to monitor changes using a machine-readable list.
