SAML Connection Error - Signature Check Errors: Invalid Signature

Overview
This article explains the cause of the following error when logging into a newly configured SAML Connection:
Signature check errors: invalid signature: for uri # URI calculated digest is DIGEST but the xml to validate supplies digest SUPPLIED_DIGEST
Certain SAML attributes appear in an unexpected format with unexpected line breaks and encoded characters.

Cause
The issue is caused by the formatting of the SAML attribute. An IdP admin will need to update that attribute to prevent it from being sent with line breaks.
Solution
As this is caused by how an attribute is formatted and sent, the IdP's admin will need to update that attribute so it can be parsed correctly. The steps to alter or remove attributes will vary depending on the IdP.
