Custom SAML Mappings Not Included in Metadata File for SAML Connection

Overview
The SAML Connection's Metadata file does not contain the custom mappings configured for the SAML Connection in question. This would be helpful since this file is shared with the SAML Identity Provider (IdP) and would help them confirm the attributes the connection expects.
Is there a way to include those mappings in that file?
