Using Custom Domains with Free Tenants

Overview

This article will explain the verification steps required to use a Custom Domain in a Free Auth0 Tenant. The following error message may be displayed in the Auth0 Dashboard when navigating to Custom Domains.

Cause

Using a custom domain helps users feel confident that they are providing their credentials to the right party.
To set up a free custom domain with Auth0, a credit card is required for fraud prevention verification.
The credit card will not be charged. This is for verification purposes only.

Solution

To set up a free Custom Domain and provide verification using a credit card:

On the Auth0 Dashboard, navigate to Branding.
Click on Custom Domains.
Click on Add Credit Card.

Click on Add Payment Details.
Enter the Payment Information.

Click Update.
