Auth0 Dashboard Activity Page Returns a 403 Error

Overview

A 403 error occurs when a user attempts to access the Auth0 Dashboard Activity page without the required administrative roles. To resolve this issue, assign either the Admin or Elevated Support Access role to the user account. Users lacking these roles cannot view the Activity page and receive a 403 error instead.

Applies To

  • Auth0
  • Dashboard
  • Activity Page

Cause

The user attempting to access the Activity page lacks the necessary permissions. Auth0 restricts access to the New Activity Page to users with the Admin or Elevated Support Access roles.

Solution

How is the Auth0 Dashboard Activity page accessed?

Auth0 restricts visibility of the New Activity Page to users with the Admin and Elevated Support Access roles. To access the page in the Auth0 Dashboard, assign one of these roles to the user account.

Users with the Editor - Users and Viewer - Users roles cannot view the Activity page in the Dashboard. However, these users can access daily activity data, such as logins or signups, through the Auth0 Management API.
