Auth0 Error Occurs When Completing Team Invitation: "The email address provided is already in use"
When a team owner invites a member to a Team, the invitation URL directs the invitee to the sign-up screen by default. If the invitee already has an Auth0 account, attempting to sign up generates an error. The user resolves this by selecting the log in option instead. The issue occurs after the invitee clicks the invitation link, enters the email address and password on the Auth0 platform, and receives the following error:
The email address provided is already in use

By default, the invitation URL directs the invitee to the sign-up screen. If the invitee already has an Auth0 account, Auth0 generates an error because the user must log in instead of signing up for a new account.
How is the team invitation error resolved?
Access the existing Auth0 account by selecting the login option and entering the established credentials.
- Select the Log in link.
- Enter the email address and password.
