This article addresses the following error that occurs during the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enrollment for WebAuthn with FIDO Device Biometrics. The error is displayed after a user clicks the enrollment link in an email.

Cause
The cause of this error is that Platform Authenticators are not enabled on the device.
Solution

Confirm the issue by visiting the WebAuthn Browser Support page.

To enable Platform Authenticators for iOS, navigate to Settings > General > AutoFill & Passwords.

Enable AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys.
