Backup / Restore policy for public cloud tenants

Private Cloud

Private Cloud Restoration capability is provided as an additional SKU.

Public Cloud

Auth0 does not provide any backup and restore services for public cloud tenants. User data and tenant configurations must be backed up by the tenant owner/administrators.

Requests to back up user database stores or tenant configurations are classified as Unsupported Requests.

Auth0 provides tools that can back up and restore user data. This task is explained in the Import /Export documentation.

NOTE: User export jobs do not back up hashed passwords, as explained in the Data Export and Transfer Policy.

For hashed passwords, a new support ticket must be submitted to request an export of users and their hashed passwords.

Tenant infrastructure can be backed up and restored using the Deploy CLI tool or Terraform.
