Change the Prioritized Status of an Existing Auth0 Log Stream
Last Updated:
Overview
Modifying the prioritized status of an existing Auth0 log stream requires deleting and recreating the stream. Auth0 restricts editing the prioritized setting after creation.
Applies To
- Auth0
- Log Streams
Solution
How is the prioritized status of an existing Auth0 log stream changed?
Auth0 only allows administrators to toggle the Prioritized Logs option when creating a log stream. Auth0 grays out the option on existing log streams, preventing edits.
The option is grayed out if this is attempted, as seen below.
To change the setting, remove the existing log stream and configure a new log stream with the preferred prioritized setting in the Auth0 Dashboard.
- Navigate to the Auth0 Dashboard.
- Choose Monitoring and select Log Streams.
- Select the existing log stream and delete it.
- Create a new log stream and configure the Prioritized Logs (Reserve log stream for critical security events) setting during setup.
