Managing Auth0 Actions and Forms Quota Exceedance Notifications

Overview

This article explains the notification received when a tenant exceeds the allocated quota for Actions and Forms. It describes the criteria for counting these entitlements and provides steps to remain within subscription limits.

You’ve been utilizing Actions and Forms, but unfortunately, you are over your quota on this feature. Please upgrade your subscription to continue using this feature.

Applies To
  • Actions
  • Forms
  • Subscription Quotas
Cause

The notification is triggered when the combined total of executed and deployed Actions and Forms exceeds the specific limit defined by the subscription plan. This quota is applied at the account level and is shared across all tenants under the subscription rather than being allocated per individual tenant.

  • All executed Actions (Bound + Deployed) and Created Forms count toward this shared quota.
  • Created Forms are counted whether they are rendered or not.

NOTE: Unbound Actions would not be executed, so they do not count towards the Quota.

Solution

To resolve the quota limit and avoid potential automatic plan upgrades, review the current environment across all tenants and perform one of the following actions:

  1. Consolidate the Actions.
    1. Review all Post-Login Actions to identify related logic.

    2. Combine the logic of multiple Actions into a single Action to reduce the total count.
  1. Delete the Unused Actions.
    1. Identify Actions that are no longer required for business operations.

    2. Select and delete the unused Actions.
  1. Upgrade the Subscription Plan.
    • Upgrade to a higher tier that supports a larger entitlement limit if all current Actions and Forms are required.

NOTE: If an account remains over the quota for three consecutive months, an automatic upgrade to the next plan tier that supports the exceeded feature is applied.
