Retrieving Logs after Auth0 Retention Period has Expired
Auth0 stores logs only for the duration of a tenant’s configured retention period. Once logs age out of this window, they are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. This can impact troubleshooting efforts if log data was not exported or archived in advance.
- Missing or expired logs
- Auth0 Logs and Log Management
Auth0 does not provide a method to restore or recover logs after they have exceeded the retention period. To ensure long-term access to log data, configure Log Streams to automatically export logs to a defined destination, such as a database, SIEM, or cloud storage service. This allows for maintaining retention policies and preserving logs indefinitely.
For implementation steps and supported destinations, refer to the Auth0 Log Streams documentation.
