Overview
This Knowledge Article explains the cases where Personally Identifiable Information (PII), such as email addresses or usernames, is not obfuscated in Log Streams, even when the Masking or xxHash feature is enabled.

Cause
The PII obfuscation only targets the fields listed in this Log Streams - PII obfuscation document.
There are other fields that can contain PII. However, they will not be obfuscated. This is an intended product limitation.
Solution
- Update the log storage configuration to discard fields that contain plaintext PII.
- Post a new feature request in the product feedback form.
