This article provides instructions for enrolling in Auth0 Guardian when accessing a web application on a mobile device. When a user enrolls in Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) with Auth0 Guardian on the same device used to log in, they cannot scan the displayed QR code.

When a user attempts to enroll in Auth0 Guardian on the same mobile device used to access the web application, the device's camera cannot scan the QR code displayed on its own screen.

To enroll in Auth0 Guardian on a mobile device without using the QR code, follow these steps:

1. When prompted to scan the QR code, select Copy as Code. Once the code has been copied, it is saved in the clipboard and can be pasted later on.

2. Open the Auth0 Guardian application.
3. Select the + Add button in the top right corner.
4. Select Manually enter code.
5. Enter a name for the connection in the Name field.
6. Paste the code from step 1 into the Enter your code field.
7. Select Submit to complete the enrollment.
