Applies To

  • Tenants
  • Auth0 Teams Dashboard
Cause

This error can be caused by:

  • A temporary service disruption or outage.
  • A timeout while allocating backend resources for the new tenant.
  • An internal platform desynchronization during provisioning.
Solution
  1. Wait and Retry: Because the issue is often a transient network or service glitch, wait a few minutes and try creating the tenant again.

  2. Check the Status Page: Check the Auth0 Status Page to see if there is an active incident affecting tenant provisioning or the Management APIs.
  3. Contact Support: If the issue persists after retrying, reach out to Support. When doing so, provide:
    • The exact error message and code.
    • The timestamp of when the request was made.
    • The Team ID and the environment/region you are trying to provision the tenant in.

Support can then use these details to investigate the backend server logs and pinpoint the exact point of failure in the provisioning pipeline.
